Intellectual Disability and the Law Lab
Lauren Johnson is a 2nd year graduate student in the Intellectual Disability and the Law lab. Originally from Arizona, Lauren received her bachelor’s degree in Psychological Sciences from Northern Arizona University. From there, she earned her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville where she worked as a psychology intern at an inpatient forensic psychiatric hospital. She is currently a psychology intern at Bryce Hospital here in Tuscaloosa. Additionally, she is working on her dissertation which will be looking at correctional officers’ perceptions of intellectually disabled inmates. In her free time, Lauren enjoys baking, watching TV shows, and spending time with her dog.
